I’m Ian, a media and design person who has spent a lot of time helping stories get from “rough idea” to something people can actually see, read, watch, or use.

My background has moved through a few different worlds. I served in the Navy as an Operations Specialist, where I learned how to stay calm, organized, and useful when a lot is happening at once. Later, I worked in broadcast news in San Diego, editing video, supporting live shows, and learning how much timing, tone, and small choices matter when something is going out to the public.

More recently, my work has lived in print, digital, and local storytelling: building pages, publishing web stories, editing video, and shaping information so it feels clear instead of cluttered. I like work that has a real audience on the other side of it, especially when it connects to community, culture, or a place people care about.

Outside of work, I’m usually with my cat Porter, looking for good vegan food, reading fantasy, walking around town, or getting emotionally attached to some oddly specific creative project.
